Yumi and Nigel Paquin have been happily married in Japan for over 5 years. His passion for our scally friends increased as he soon realized this was the land of fishing. Since his arrival he has learned many types or styles of Japanese fishing and he prides himself on his local knowledge. Yumi has followed Nigel when it comes to his fishing adventures but her passion generally stays on shore.

Over the years he had realized that English communication was few and far between when it came to local fishing knowledge. If you do not speak or read the language it is basically impossible to understand what is being conveyed. Since he was frustrated with the lack of good English sites he has established two very successful websites called Fukuoka Fishing Adventures and Fishing Japan respectively, naturally the making of this site was a smooth and easy transition.

The launch of this website closely parallels his ambitions and passions through his products. Tsurishop-Japan is a business but also a chance for other anglers across the world to experience the best gear that Japan has available.
